How cute is it that they stand on two feet like that? They will do that when they feel threatened in order to try and make themselves seem more imposing. Red pandas are actually closely related to skunks and raccoons, unlike the Great Panda which is classed as a type of bear. They're found in regions of Southern Asia, and eat mostly bamboo. Red pandas are currently considered an endangered species by the UN due to loss of habitat due to deforestation; they are poached for their fur, which is considered to be good luck.
Famous red pandas include Master Shifu in the fantastic Dreamworks film Kung Fu Panda, voiced by Dustin Hoffman.
